Quality Lab Associate for Precision Auto Parts

Job Summary

Coordinate precision lab daily workflow to support company objectives by assuring equipment operates properly and prioritizing tasks to meet production requirements. Write CMM programs for production parts, gauges, and equipment as needed, while determining best verification methods based on actual parts and drawings. Calibrate and maintain testing machines including sanders, polishers, and x-ray units, and confirm materials for die cast operations. Compile measurement data for capability studies and communicate with manufacturing departments regarding suspect product disposition. Support production engineers in adjusting processes, assist in creating Quality Assurance documents, and log part quality information in Plex.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Education or any combination of equivalent experience and education
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year related work

  • Ability to take initiative, to meet deadlines, to maintain confidentiality and to work in a team environment
  • Background in computer programming, CNC programming or other related skills
  • Some travel required
