Job Summary
Inspectors are responsible for performing inspections in accordance with the Quality Control Manual, OEM manuals, and FAA regulations. They conduct incoming, preliminary, hidden-damage, in-progress, final inspections and release to service for components undergoing maintenance at the Repair Station. Responsibilities include ensuring access to adequate facilities, data, tools, and training; staying current with techniques and publications; following inspection methods and procedures; assisting in internal audits; reviewing technical data, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins; releasing aircraft articles for return to service; completing Work Orders and maintaining discrepancy tally sheets; verifying that inspection records are accurately completed and tagged/ discarded as required. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and data, strong organizational skills, and English language ability are required; FAA Airframe License certification is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-year experience with technical degree/background
- Must be able to interpret blueprint drawings and repair all applicable technical data
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
- Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask
- Maintain proficiency in the use of various inspection aids
- Understand, write, read, and speak English
- Desirable FAA Airframe License certification
