Job Summary
Conduct thorough inspections of works and structures to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Perform material testing and analysis, monitor construction activities, and review technical documents to identify defects and document non-conformities. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to implement corrective actions and prepare comprehensive inspection reports. Maintain detailed records while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality control plans. This role requires daily attendance at an active construction site in Blackfoot, ID, with potential future opportunities in Aiken, SC.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5-10+ years of experience in quality inspection
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to various job sites as needed
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
- Perform work safely and effectively
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Work overtime and weekends as required
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
Desired Qualifications
- Additional certifications in quality control or construction management
- Experience with large-scale construction projects
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools
