Job Summary
Conduct incoming and outgoing inspections of materials and components by comparing test results to specifications and interpreting drawings, specifications, and sampling plans. Perform final inspections, signoffs, and maintain written records, record files, and computer databases according to SOPs and work instructions. Clean and maintain work areas, gauges, and equipment while communicating with team members to ensure quality, operational efficiency, and safety. Report non-conformance conditions to the Plant Quality Manager and actively seek ways to improve processes individually or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 - 4 years direct QC inspection experience
- Working knowledge of PC
- Good math skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Mechanical 'hands-on' experience
- Able to read, interpret and follow SOPs, instructions, specifications AutoCAD drawings and reference materials
- Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information
- Able to operate Quality specific equipment and instrumentation
- Able to handle heavy, bulky items manually
- Must be able lift up to 50lbs consistently
- Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts
- Must be able to work weekends when necessary
- Must be able to walk a minimum of 2 miles per day
- Required to wear personal protective equipment as appropriate to task and environment
- Consistently dusty and noisy work environment
- Industrial Plant setting with exposure to temperature fluctuations (hot during summer months and cold during winter months)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A 2-year degree in Technology
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
