Quality Inspector- Weekend Shift

Job Summary
Conduct quality control and assurance inspections, checks, and tests of power control buildings, equipment centers, and enclosures at various completion stages. Record non-conformities, defects, and discrepancies to ensure rework before product advancement, utilizing knowledge of standards including NEC, CSA, UL, NEMA, IEEE, SSPC, NACE, and AWS. Provide paperwork to truck drivers for shipping authorization and collaborate with management, 2nd and 3rd party inspectors, and customers during factory acceptance tests. Plan goals set by the Quality Manager, coach staff, and perform field advisory services as assigned. Work safely in a clean environment while reducing production defects through continuous improvement and standardization. Weekend shift required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational school
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software
- Experience working in industrial electrical field
- Experience with metal fabrication operations
- Knowledge of standards/codes as they apply to manufacturing
- Customer service background
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze situations and make decisions
Desired Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors' degree in a related technical field is a plus
- ISO Certified Auditor (preferred)
- ASQ, AWS, CWI or CWS, Master Electrician, NACE Certification are desired
