Job Summary
Quality Inspector responsible for executing QA processes under QMS (ISO-9001/AS-9120), conducting incoming/outgoing inspections, preparing quality documentation (MTRs, CoCs, FAIs, ISIRs, PPAPs), and acting as the liaison between customers and Thruway’s supply chain. Maintains calibration and verification of equipment, assists with 6S audits, CAPAs, and internal/customer/certification audits, supports training to ensure adherence to quality procedures, and may assist with inventory and warehouse tasks. Requires attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work onsite in Syracuse (and other NY locations) with travel as needed. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, forklift/pallet jack operation, and a strong team-oriented, ethical approach to quality and safety.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years direct quality experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or warehousing environments preferred
- Experience with Electro/Mechanical hardware/fasteners preferred
- OSHA10 preferred
- Process auditing experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems
