Quality Inspector

Job Summary

Perform in-process and final inspections on machined parts using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings to ensure manufactured components meet specifications. Document inspection results, maintain accurate quality records, and conduct first article inspections as needed. Identify non-conforming materials, report findings, and assist with corrective actions while working closely with production teams. Maintain a clean work environment and follow all safety procedures. Work on the 2nd shift in a precision manufacturing setting.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with inspection documentation and reporting
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
  • Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in CNC machining or precision manufacturing
  • CMM experience (operation or programming is a plus)
  • Knowledge of ISO quality standards
