Job Summary
Approve incoming and outgoing metal materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting non-compliant parts. Examine and measure components to verify dimensional compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators. Identify, report, and document non-conforming parts and discrepancies in measurements, ensuring adherence to GD&T and AS9102 standards. Work Monday through Friday from 5am to 1:30pm, with overtime available. This role supports the aerospace manufacturing team by maintaining strict quality control protocols and utilizing Discus software for inspection reporting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- three years related experience
- 1+ years aerospace manufacturing metal experience
- 1+ years manufacturing quality control inspection experience
- CQI designation
- good reading and math skills
- Strong technical aptitude
- willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills
- knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Ability to read, understand, and apply contractual requirements, standards, specifications, blueprints, mylars, job travelers, governmental regulations, or technical procedures
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables in work situations
- Ability to work as a team in fast paced production environment and cross-training duties
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities

Desired Qualifications
- 2+years college preferred
- Experience with inspection tools: pins & block gauge, micrometers, Height gauge, Optic comparator, and calipers
- A strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and AS9102 inspection report
- Experience with Discus software
- 1-2 years experienced with Faro Arm or Leica
