Job Summary
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of received, in-process, and finished components, subassemblies, and products. Provide feedback to manufacturing personnel regarding product quality and conformance to specifications. Assist Quality, Engineering, and Production in investigations of process-related quality issues. Maintain inspection logs, complete accurate records including non-conforming material reports, and participate in GR&R studies and capability analyses. Write non-conforming material reports and actively participate in quarantining potentially rejected products. Perform limited first article dimensional reviews and understand GDT symbols. Requires strong attention to detail, mechanical inclination, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Regular attendance is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Ability to provide professional and supportive interaction with individuals of all levels of technical abilities
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong mathematics skills
- Basic knowledge in statistics
- Minimum of two years Quality Assurance experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Stooping, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking and Hearing
- Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned
- Regular attendance

Desired Qualifications
- Plastics experience
- Quality related courses
- A.S.Q.C. certified mechanical inspector
- Previous experience with inspection equipment (CMM, Vision System, common dimensional inspection hand tools)
