Job Summary
Quality Inspector responsible for in-process and final inspections of precision optical components and assemblies in a cleanroom, validating conformance to customer specs and internal standards. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings and certifications, documenting inspection results and nonconformances, identifying issues for escalation, and using inspection tools (microscopes, comparators) to ensure high-quality product and on-time delivery. Collaboration across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Shipping; strict adherence to cleanroom protocols and contamination controls; requires strong attention to detail, visual acuity, and ability to follow established inspection procedures. US-person compliance and ITAR/EAR considerations are noted for eligibility. Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm; Location: West Henrietta, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality, inspection, testing, or similar detail-oriented technical environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection criteria
- Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently with high accuracy
- US Persons as defined by ITAR/EAR (per compliance requirements)
