Job Summary
Conduct inspections of parts using gauging or measuring equipment to ensure product aligns with customer standards through receiving, in-process, first-off, product audits, and final release inspections. Assess incoming materials against specifications, monitor ongoing production compliance, and authorize full production or shipment based on drawing specifications. Apply IATF standards for non-conforming material, document quality results, and report deviations to relevant individuals. Adhere to all health and safety, environmental legislation, and policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in automotive manufacturing environment or equivalent education
- Knowledge and ability to use measuring equipment, such as micrometers, verniers, height and bore gauges
- Ability to operate CMM and interpret inspection results
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both individual and team settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn new software applications
- Demonstrated ability to acquire proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and GD&T symbols
- Ability to learn and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts
