Job Summary
Perform in-process and final inspections to verify dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with drawings and customer specifications. Monitor and document production processes, identify and resolve non-conformities, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Review travelers, inspection records, and customer documentation for job completion accuracy; approve final product release and ensure all required documentation is complete. Utilize precision inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and optical comparators) and contribute to ISO 9001 quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collaborate with machine operators and production personnel to ensure quality from start to finish.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in machining or metalworking environments preferred
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T
- Working knowledge of precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 preferred
- Experience with ERP or quality software systems such as NetSuite, IQMS, or similar systems a plus
