Job Summary

Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products using calipers, micrometers, and FARO equipment. Read blueprints, document results in required logs, and quarantine non-conforming items while generating discrepancy reports. Operate FARO and Micro-Vu measurement tools, assist with PPAP and first-article verification, and lead Level I and II inspectors. Collaborate with production teams to resolve customer complaints, implement lean processes, and participate in internal audits. Ensure incoming materials meet specifications and release products for shipping with proper certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Associate degree in related field preferred
  • 5 or more years working in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection preferred
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and the use of the internet
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
  • Understand industry safety standards and quality expectations
