Quality Inspector II

Job Summary
Conduct in-bound, returns, and out-bound inspection audits while measuring products with calipers and micrometers. Record inspection results, perform Cubiscan verification, and prepare Problem Reports and Corrective Action Reports for non-conforming items. Monitor quality hold lists, participate in weekly review meetings, and ensure gage calibration. Assist in investigating quality issues to determine root causes and maintain electronic and hardcopy record keeping. Comply with Hillman policies, safety rules, and health programs. Requires two years of distribution or manufacturing experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Full-time hourly position in a fast-paced quality control environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or higher
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to read Spec Sheet and Artwork
- Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Two or more years in experience working in a Distribution or Manufacturing Environment
- Functional vision and hearing required
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 70 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) Scanner
- Knowledge of Cubiscan Scanning
- Knowledge of Calipers
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise 1 (E1)
- Highly motivated individual with a desire to advance in their role
