Job Summary
Conduct daily inspections of parts using equipment such as CMM, micro height gauges, micrometers, UT machines, and magnetic particle yokes. Read and interpret blueprints, standard operating procedures, and customer/regulatory requirements to verify machine setup and perform first article inspections. Initiate non-conformance reports and corrective action requests for adverse quality conditions. Maintain company and OSHA safety procedures while assisting in training lower-level employees and performing daily area cleaning. Meet 2 NDE requirements and hold company certification as NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate all inspection equipment such as but not limited to the following: CMM, Micro Height, ID/OD micrometers, calipers, UT Machine, and Magnetic particle yokes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, standard operating procedures, and customer/regulatory requirements and inspect parts to these documents.
- Ability to do machine set up verification and first article inspections of parts on the machines
- Ability to meet 2 NDE requirements and as a company certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
- Ability to perform all job duties of lower level inspections.
- Assist in training of lower level employees.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
