Job Summary
Operate inspection equipment including CMM, Micro Height, and UT machines to verify machine setups and conduct first article inspections. Read blueprints and standard operating procedures to inspect parts against customer and regulatory requirements. Initiate non-conformance reports and corrective action requests when adverse conditions are repetitive. Perform daily and regular cleaning while adhering to OSHA safety procedures. Assist in training lower-level employees and maintain company certifications in UT, MT, and PT. Bring quality concerns to the attention of managers and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate all inspection equipment such as but not limited to the following: CMM, Micro Height, ID/OD micrometers, calipers, UT Machine, and Magnetic particle yokes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, standard operating procedures, and customer/regulatory requirements and inspect parts to these documents.
- Ability to do machine set up verification and first article inspections of parts on the machines
- Ability to meet 2 NDE requirements and as a company certified NDE Level II for UT, MT, and PT.
- Ability to perform all job duties of lower level inspections.
- Assist in training of lower level employees.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
