Job Summary

Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments and visual examination. Document inspection results to maintain accurate records for quality assurance and traceability. Identify and report quality issues, non-conformances, and potential risks to the quality management team promptly. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process. Participate in internal and external quality audits and assist in developing quality improvement plans. Train and mentor junior quality inspectors and support continuous learning within the department. Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and documentation standards
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications
  • Surface Quality under MIL-PRF-13830B, ANSI/OEOSC OP1.002, MIL-F-48616, and ISO 10110
  • Must be classified as a 'U.S. Person' under applicable regulations or be eligible for authorization under a U.S. government export license
  • Shift hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS) like ISO 9001
  • Familiarity with computerized quality inspection software and data entry systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
