Job Summary
Quality Inspector I performs routine inspections and testing across coatings, tufting, logos, graphics, and lab environments. Responsibilities include visually inspecting raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods; measuring roll width, pile height, tuft binds, and dimensions of finished products; recording data accurately; placing quality holds on defective rolls; preparing samples for lab and third-party testing; conducting weight checks and verifying material specifications; communicating findings to production personnel and the Quality Team; and following safety and company policies. This role requires basic computer and math skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a hybrid environment with collaboration across departments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Basic Math skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret production orders and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Basic measurement skills using measuring tapes, rulers, and other tools
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
