Job Summary
Quality Inspector I performs receiving, kitting, or shipping inspection of Mil Standard hardware and assembly kits for conformance to the technical data package. Reads engineering drawings, specifications, POs, and SOWs to determine quality status; uses calibrated hand gauges (calipers, micrometers, Go/No-Go, rulers, tape measures, pin gauges) and other gaging to verify dimensional compliance; conducts AS9102 First Article Inspections; maintains inspection paperwork in MS Office; identifies non-conformances and communicates improvements; supports continuous improvement opportunities and may perform other duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma/GED
- One (1) year Quality experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
- Familiarity with Costpoint or other ERP/MRP systems
- Understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspection standard
- Understanding of IPC-WHMA-620, MIL-STD-454 preferred
- Understanding of IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001 preferred
- Understanding of ANSI/ASME Y 14.5 (GD & T) preferred
