Job Summary
Conduct visual, mechanical, electrical, and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished assemblies using calibrated tools like calipers, gauges, and pin gauges. Verify label accuracy against approved artwork and specifications, then record inspection results and review DHRs for completeness and compliance with Good Documentation Practices. Initiate nonconformance reports and communicate defects to engineering or leadership when components do not meet requirements. Perform AQL sampling plans and review supplier documentation for revision accuracy. Work indoors in a well-lighted environment with moderate lifting and extended periods of sitting or standing.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in an inspection environment using handheld inspection equipment
- Ability to handle chemicals safely
- Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Basic computer skills for entering and reviewing inspection records
- Able to review documentation (DHRs, specifications, labels) for accuracy
- Able to send clear email notifications when required (IQC only)
- Comfortable working with inspection tools and documentation systems
- Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and material
- Ability to visually inspect small components and detailed features with normal or corrected vision
- Requires the ability to identify and distinguish colors and shapes
- Requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods
- Moderate lifting (35 lbs.), carrying (10 lbs.), bending, and prolonged sitting
Desired Qualifications
