Job Summary
Quality Inspector for an aerospace staffing operation supporting Bombardier/Bombardier business jet/aircraft maintenance. Responsibilities include performing hidden damage inspections, ensuring paperwork complies with engineering specifications and the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual, conducting service inspections per applicable FARs and manufacturer manuals, assisting other inspectors, conducting Preliminary Inspections on arrival of aircraft, inspecting maintenance and modifications, inspecting flight control systems, fuel panels, and installation work with “OK to Install” and “Installation OK” signoffs, training and mentoring staff, providing data to customers, and performing conformity inspections of engineering documents to the current design, as well as weighing aircraft using the pre-weight checklist. Requires ability to read and interpret engineering documents and maintenance manuals, and an A&P license or Repairman Certificate; knowledge of SAP and aircraft inspection programs; experience with aircraft maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, and alterations as they relate to inspection buy-off.
Required Qualifications
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or appropriately rated Repairman Certificate
- read and interpret engineering documents and maintenance manuals
- knowledge of SAP
- familiarity with SAP and aircraft inspection programs
- ability to inspect aircraft maintenance, repairs and alterations
- familiarity with FARs (14 CFR) and maintenance manuals
- ability to train, coach and mentor employees in area(s) of qualification
