Job Summary
Quality Inspector role focusing on in-process and visual inspections, measurement of painted/components across conversion lines, testing in painting/conversion coating processes, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Requires interpretation of blueprints/technical drawings, use of precision inspection tools, data collection per PPAP standards, and participation in Gage R&R and SPC. Must maintain documentation, logs, and certifications at workstations; require physical capability to inspect parts on the production floor and perform routine quality-related duties in a DoD/defense manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a quality inspection or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with inspection tools, blueprint reading, and working to ISO 9001 or AS9100 (preferred)
- Knowledge of quality assurance methods, inspection processes, and defense/aerospace quality standards (MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
- Proficient in precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM)
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and QMS/ERP software
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of DoD regulations, ITAR/EAR compliance, and security requirements
