Quality Inspector

Job Summary
Inspect materials, parts, and assemblies from vendors and internal shops for conformance to drawings and purchase order specifications. Examine items for workmanship and visual defects, verify specified dimensions, and compare products against parts lists to ensure assembly completion. Reject defective parts, record defect types on tags or containers, and maintain legible inspection records per work instructions. Conduct roving, first piece, and final inspections while supporting customer and regulatory audits. Requires familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements, proficiency with calipers, gages, micrometers, and comparators, and the ability to operate CMM.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of related job experience
- Proficient in the use of tools experience with calipers, gages, micrometers, and comparators
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Responds to requests for service and assistance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Generates suggestions for improving work
- Uses time efficiently and completes work in timely manner
- Adapts to changes in the work environment

- Regularly required to stand
- Occasionally required to lift weights (up to 50 lbs)
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus
