Quality Inspector - Cosmetic

Job Summary
Inspect finished Class A surfaces for cosmetic defects such as scratches, pits, waves, blisters, inclusions, or finish inconsistencies. Compare parts against customer standards, master samples, and visual boards. Document inspection results and escalate nonconformances to Quality and Production leadership. Segregate and contain defective parts, assisting in root cause and corrective action activities. Support final approval before shipment to customers. Maintain inspection areas, visual standards, and records. Work independently on the production floor, lifting up to 40 LBS and standing for 8 to 10 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 40 LBS
- Ability to lift, twist, grab, stand (up to 8 to 10 hours), walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials
- Ability to perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- Prior inspection experience in chrome-plated, painted, or Class A stamped parts
- Keen eye for detail with ability to detect even minor surface flaws
- Understanding of handling precautions for finished Class A parts
- Basic measurement tool knowledge (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
