Job Summary
Quality Inspector role focusing on verifying machined, fabricated, and assembled hardware against drawings/CAD models using CMM/Portable Arm, hand tools and gauges. Responsibilities include reading/interpreting drawings with GD&T, producing inspection reports, and collaborating with engineers. Requires 3-5 years CMM experience, familiarity with micrometers and gauges, aerospace/AS9100 exposure a plus, and willingness to travel to support inspections. Candidates should be a US citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; residence in North Alabama or willingness to relocate to Huntsville, AL. Proficiency with PC-DMIS, SolidWorks Inspection, PolyWorks Metrology Suite, and Spatial Analyzer is beneficial. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and communicate effectively within a team.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of CMM experience
- GD&T knowledge
- experience with micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gauges, and calipers
- AS9100 Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment a plus
- ability to travel to other sites to support quality inspections
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Final Secret Clearance (or meet eligibility for Secret)
- experience with PC-DMIS, Solid Works Inspection, PolyWorks Metrology Suite, Spatial Analyzer (plus)
- strong communication skills and teamwork
