Job Summary
Quality Inspector responsible for ensuring inspections are properly performed and that records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station are properly executed prior to release of aircraft for return to service. Manages final airworthiness decisions for company and customer aircraft, ensures compliance with FAA regulations, coordinates calibration records for inspection tools and precision test equipment, maintains up-to-date manuals/specifications/airworthiness directives, ensures maintenance records are properly maintained and retrievable, and collaborates to recommend improvements in QA processes and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- FAA A&P Certificate
- FAA IA (preferred)
- 3-5 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Airworthiness Conformity
- 5 years' experience maintaining/inspecting GA, and corporate aircraft
- Extensive familiarity with FAR 145 and 135 as they pertain to aircraft maintenance and airworthiness conformity
- Experience working in a FAR 145 shop
