Job Summary
Perform hands-on in-process and final inspection of light assemblies and detail parts using CMM and manual methods. Receiving inspection of supplier furnished product and services, then identify, segregate, and maintain records for nonconforming material. Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's) and interpret engineering drawings per ASME Y14.5. Utilize standard equipment including micrometers, calipers, and height gages, with PC-DMIS experience preferred. Requires 5+ years in quality inspection within an aerospace environment. Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Salary $22-$32/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5+ years Quality Inspection or equivalent education and experience
- Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs
- Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, may vary
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (10 panel less THC)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with PC-DMIS
- Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform basic shop math and familiarity with Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances per ASME Y14.5
- Ability to use standard inspection equipment, including micrometer, caliper, and height gage
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- CAD skills
- Hardness and conductivity inspection
