Job Summary
Conduct final visual and dimensional inspections of finished aerospace engine parts using gages, micrometers, borescopes, and CMMs with PCDMIS or MODUS software. Interpret operation sheets, blueprints, and technical documents to determine if components meet customer criteria for acceptability. Complete required paperwork for defective parts needing re-work while ensuring all inspected items satisfy specified geometric tolerancing and repair manual requirements. Perform incoming, in-process, or final inspections in a 2nd shift rotation from 3:30pm to 12:00am with a 15% differential.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment
- Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
- Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
- Strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/ or MODUS software
- Previous experience performing incoming, in process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment
- Good attitude and a willingness to learn and new trade or skill
