Job Summary
Perform visual inspection of printed materials for defects such as ragged edges, torn pages, incomplete cuts, and incorrect bindings. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to ensure products meet quality conformance, record identified defects using a checklist, and prepare written reports for manufacturing management. Identify potential issues and involve department leads to determine solutions, while assisting with special projects, complex orders, and the disposition of non-conforming product. Maintain strong organizational skills to coordinate work phases and communicate quality policies clearly. Requires 2+ years of experience in a printing environment and good knowledge of manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience in a quality control/assurance function in a printing environment
- good knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures
- knowledge of job specific processes key to successfully execute and complete the duties of the job
- very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines
- ability to coordinate phases of work with others
