Quality Inspector 2 - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Conduct thorough examinations, dimensional inspections, and metallurgical tests on semi-finished components, fasteners, and raw materials to ensure conformance to customer specifications and industry standards. Perform physical and mechanical testing including tensile, shear, and fatigue analysis while maintaining accurate inspection reports and calibration records. Manage gage room operations by calibrating measuring instruments, controlling test bolt inventory, and issuing gauges through the GageTrak System. Coordinate with production leads, review blueprints, and verify material identification tags. Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental policies while reporting nonconformances immediately. Work a 4/10 rotating shift from 3pm to 1:30am with a $1.10/hr differential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum 3-5 years of metallurgical or physical laboratory experience
- Understanding of test equipment and lab procedures
- Or a combination of inspection and lab procedures
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Desired Qualifications
- Completion of college level mathematics, metallographic, or mechanical engineering a plus
