Job Summary
Conduct inspection, documentation, and certification of critical components throughout production, including parts subject to flight safety requirements. Perform various inspection activities using precision equipment like CMM, FARO Arm, and optical comparators to ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and customer specifications. Read complex engineering drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances, then compare recorded measurements against blueprints to identify discrepancies via the NCF and MRB process. Requires 3 to 5 years of experience in aerospace or regulated industries, familiarity with GD&T, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel. A $5000 sign-on bonus is available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledgeable of MS Word, and Excel
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in the operation of CMM's
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to adjust to a dynamic work environment and tempo
- Must maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Must have strong professional ethics
- Must be able to function well on teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or similarly regulated industry
- Familiarity with performing various inspection activities to include, i.e., 1st piece, in-process, final inspections
- Familiarity with the use of various inspection and measurement equipment, i.e. CMM, FARO Arm, Borescope, Optical Comparator, etc.
- Strong understanding of units of measure and applicability to GD&T principles
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in the operation of CMM's (Mitutoyo/Metris/Zeiss)
- Familiarity with operation/programming of FARO arm
