Job Summary
Coordinate and manage calibration processes for inspection tools and measurement equipment, maintaining accurate schedules and certifications. Develop AS9100-compliant inspection forms using DISCUS 2024 software to generate bubble drawings and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications. Perform receiving inspections of incoming materials to verify conformance, documenting and reporting non-conformances to suppliers and internal teams for resolution. Support internal and external audits by providing metrology documentation while continuously improving quality inspection processes. This full-time, non-management role requires daily overtime, potential Saturdays, and 70% time in the manufacturing plant with PPE use. The position ensures compliance with ITAR requirements and industry standards within Allied Mechanical's machining services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, metrology, or a related field within an aerospace, or precision manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience with calibration processes and maintaining calibration records
- Experience performing receiving inspections and working with suppliers to resolve non-conformances
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T in accordance with ANSI Y14.5
- Familiarity with First Article paperwork
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
- Must be willing and able to work daily overtime (possibly some Saturdays)
- Must work with safety as the highest priority
