Quality Inspection Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct warehouse inspections for incoming materials, Volvo Trucks, and heavy commercial vehicles by completing part inspection requests, generating rejection reports, and managing inventory deductions within the ICS system. Review system inventory discrepancies, update daily dashboards, and coordinate with stakeholders on open issues and process changes. Address system backlogs by correcting configurations in ICS, MACS, and NTRP, while developing standard operating procedures and facilitating audits. Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and implement containment strategies. Utilize IT tools including GILM, Kola, and NTRP to track failures, analyze corrective actions, and maintain procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of best practice quality tools
- Strong problem solver/decision maker, ability to take a well-ordered approach to solving problems and acting despite obstacles, resistance or ambiguity
- Strong logical thinking and analytical background
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of quality standards and the manufacturing business. Organization and ability to utilize policies, practices, trends, and tactics to accomplish business objectives
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, the product, production standards and efficiency optimization tools; process oriented
- Proven ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements to the assembly operation
- Possesses strong analytical skills and demonstrated focus on process and Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Blueprint reading
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio
