Job Summary
Senior Quality Improvement Specialist leads complex, site-based quality improvement initiatives focused on measures such as readmissions and patient safety, translating data into actionable improvement strategies across multiple Michigan sites. The role analyzes chart reviews, data dashboards (Epic, Excel, and other Microsoft tools), and performance benchmarks to identify trends and opportunities, coordinates with clinicians and leaders to drive sustainable improvements, and mentors colleagues in improvement science. Based primarily at Dearborn Hospital with hybrid onsite work and potential travel to other Corewell Health East sites, the role partners with clinical and operational leaders to influence practice change, support regulatory and accreditation programs, and advance system-wide quality goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Healthcare related field
- 5 years of Quality improvement, performance improvement, project management or related field
- RN – State of Michigan (preferred)
- Master's Degree in Healthcare related field (preferred)
- CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), IHI Improvement Coach Program (preferred)
- CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (preferred)
