Job Summary
Process and respond to medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and organizational policy. Coordinate and conduct internal audits, including chart reviews and licensing compliance checks, while assisting in drafting and maintaining policies for the Quality Improvement Team. Monitor and develop reports on clinical outcomes and audit findings, maintain dashboards to flag trends, and track quality improvement projects from initiation through completion. Support preparation of documentation for licensing and payer audits, assist in critical incident investigations, and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify workflow gaps. Maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and provide backup support for team functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health/behavioral health field
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, protected health information, and confidentiality requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work on-site as needed
- Ability to respond to urgent operational needs
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in behavioral health, records management, auditing, or quality/compliance functions
- Master's degree in a relevant behavioral health field
- Experience in a behavioral health or healthcare quality improvement, compliance, or audit role
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Behavioral Health Administration compliance and requirements for behavioral health providers
- Experience with data visualization or dashboard tools
