Job Summary
Oversee dissemination and implementation of AAOS quality products, OrthoGuidelines, and evidence-based medicine initiatives while maintaining content on AAOS.org. Coordinate with marketing teams to promote quality programs, manage submissions to clearinghouses and libraries, and facilitate specialty society endorsements. Create educational materials, presentation decks, and publications for members, including proofreading and managing submission processes for medical journals. Serve as staff liaison to the Evidence-Based Quality and Value Committee, preparing agendas, collecting materials, and taking minutes for meetings and Chairs' calls. Manage work group logistics, including member solicitation, disclosure tracking, and participation requirements, while contributing to research and scientific project drafts. Collaborate with fellows and the Department of Education to develop online learning modules, webinars, and patient-focused resources. This hybrid position is based in Rosemont, Illinois, requiring twice-weekly office commutes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, life sciences, public health, communications, education, or a related field
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for various stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach
- Proven ability to develop, edit, and deliver high-quality written content with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively contributing to cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work in a dynamic environment
- Hybrid position based in Rosemont, Illinois
- Ability to commute to the office at least twice per week
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience working with a medical association, healthcare organization, or professional membership organization
- Knowledge of evidence-based medicine, including clinical practice guidelines, appropriate use criteria (AUC), and quality improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with healthcare research, physician education, clinical quality programs, or healthcare policy development
- Experience supporting committees, volunteer leaders, subject matter experts, or multidisciplinary stakeholder groups
- Understanding of medical publishing, educational content development, or healthcare-related project coordination
