Job Summary

Lead health center leadership as a quality improvement and population health expert, driving projects that align with organizational goals to improve patient outcomes. Analyze healthcare systems using methodologies like the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Model or Lean to structure improvement work and interface directly with providers to foster systems change. Serve as the data specialist for quality metrics, transforming collection and analysis into actionable insights while facilitating discussions on healthcare quality and equity. Support staff in accessing population health technology and coordinate services for high-risk patients, acting as a coach for improvement methodologies across the network. Report progress through presentations and publications, while staying current on disparities and attending relevant conferences. Maintain full scheduled shifts, punctuality, and professional leadership to support a team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university in public health, health administration, or related field
  • master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of six (6) months of applied healthcare quality improvement experience
  • Equivalent education and experience accepted
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures/reports/documents, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of employees and clients
  • Ability to understand basic statistics to help guide and measure improvement projects
  • Ability to think critically about root cause of quality gaps to inform new projects
  • Demonstrated operating knowledge of computers
  • Intermediate/Advanced level ability with Word, Outlook and other required software programs
  • Intermediate skills in Excel or other data analysis software like Power BI
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment
  • Proof of vaccination for COVID-19
  • Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
  • Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to Varicella
  • Annual Influenza immunization
  • TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer
  • Tdap (within last 10 years)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Maintain good attendance
  • Be punctual
  • Work full scheduled shifts as a condition of employment
  • Demonstrate respectful, professional and appropriate behavior
  • Leadership and communication skills that supports a team-oriented work environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Quality improvement professional certification or a quality improvement certification from Institute for HealthCare improvement
  • Lean certifications
  • Equivalent formal education and training (like a master's degree in a related field) is preferred but not required
