Job Summary
Conduct data collection and analysis to improve processes and patient outcomes using a data-driven, best-practices approach. Manage infection prevention strategies and support regulatory readiness by ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Deliver staff education on quality improvement and infection control principles while handling regulatory reporting for the Quality Service Department. This full-time, salaried role (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) reports to the Director of Quality Services and Risk Management at Sampson Regional Medical Center, where the team focuses on excellence in patient care delivery and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed without restrictions in North Carolina or a compact license state
- Bachelor's degree
- Critical thinking skills
Desired Qualifications
- Infection control certification preferred or obtained in the first two years of employment
- Three (3) to five (5) years of hospital experience preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in infection control and/or quality improvement
- Intermediate Excel skills preferred
