Quality Final Inspector

Job Summary

Perform standard or recurring inspections including length, dimension, and size checks, along with visual inspection for imperfections and conformance to standards. Operate fundamental equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify product conformance. Complete and review forms, logs, and reports detailing test results based on operating procedures while handling and labeling tools, materials, and equipment according to safety principles. Comply with operating policies to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations by interacting with assemblers, technicians, and engineers to communicate test results and provide feedback. This 1st shift, full-time position is located in Fridley, Minnesota, Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to read, understand, write and speak English at an 8th grade level or higher
  • Ability for visual elements, such as color, measurements and shapes
  • Ability to pass an eye exam (with or without correction) to meet Minco's requirements for Near and Color Vision
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently
  • IPC 600, 610, or J-Std Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships with employees and management
  • Strong experience responding to and resolving questions and concerns
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
  • Attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external customer contact
  • This is a 1st shift position working Monday – Friday

Desired Qualifications

  • One or more years of Inspection experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Experience using small tools such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers and pin gauges
  • Microsoft office applications experience (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
