Quality Engineering Technician

Job Summary
Quality Engineering Technician responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance across the entire product lifecycle, including design analysis, materials inspection, finished goods testing, and post-launch performance. Leads root cause analyses and continuous improvement projects to enhance durability and manufacturing process stability; performs tests, tear-down evaluations, GR&R/Capability studies, and documents quality data. Supports CI/WCM initiatives, PFMEA, DOE, and process capability studies; interacts with Engineering, Assembly, and Quality teams; uses measurement systems, CMMs, and data systems (WHOM, AODocs). Requires reading blueprints/schematics, strong problem-solving (8D, A3, 5Why), and proficiency with Google Workspace and Excel; ERP experience (SAP/Oracle preferred). Education prerequisites include a HS diploma/GED with Associate’s degree preferred, and 3+ years of manufacturing/quality experience. Location is Findlay, OH; role is on-site.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- An Associate's Degree in an Engineering or Technical field is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or technical maintenance role
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, A3, 5Why) and formal problem-solving methodologies
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI), Lean principles, and WCM tools (e.g., Kaizens, 5S, SOPs/Standard Work)
- Software and Communication Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft Excel; Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred
