Job Summary
Quality Engineering Supervisor at a manufacturing site focused on food safety and quality. Lead optimization and Kaizens to reduce top plant and quality losses; oversee quality systems, SAP QM/ECC usage, and calibration/maintenance programs for inspection, measuring, and testing equipment. Directly manage 8 QA Technicians, coordinate lab capability studies, and support training for quality programs. Drive data collection and KPI reporting, support innovation within the supply chain, and ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, and other GFSI schemes. Proficiency with SPC, CAPA, RCA, MOC, and related quality methodologies; familiarity with SAP/ERP, SAP PLM, and Power BI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, engineering, or a related field is preferred, or a bachelor's degree and related experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing (Operations, Supply Chain) with focus on quality
- Familiarity with Quality/food safety programs including HACCP, SSOP, Integrated Pest Management, FDA cGMP, TPM/UMS
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Quality Systems and methodologies such as CAPA, RCA, Regulatory, Management of Change (MOC), Holds, Product Release, SQF, BRC, or similar GFSI scheme
- Programming proficiency – Power BI, MS Office tools, SAP/ERP, SharePoint
- Statistics experience – SPC knowledge
- Previous experience leading teams in manufacturing with direct people management responsibility
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with minimal guidance
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
