Job Summary
Oversee all QA activities and processes for major software products, ensuring performance and quality conform to established company, industry, and regulatory standards. Define, maintain, and align the test strategy with business objectives while integrating quality early in the SDLC through collaboration with product owners, developers, and architects. Lead implementation of Quality Assurance programs, standards, and metrics; produce and maintain test artifacts for releases and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and tools. Identify, communicate, and escalate risks when quality is compromised, providing feedback on software development standards and managing staff training needs. Based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX, this role requires 8+ years of industry experience with 5+ years in management. Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality engineering principles
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to embed quality early in the SDLC
- Ability to define and execute a comprehensive test strategy aligned with business and technical needs
- Experience participating in Agile/Scrum sprint and release cycles
- Demonstrated ability to identify, raise, and manage quality risks effectively
- Database experience with SQL for test validation and data analysis
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree
- Industry experience is typically 8+ years
- At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required
- Bachelor's degree
- Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable
