Job Summary
Maintain and evolve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System by managing documentation, conducting internal audits, and driving corrective/preventive actions. Develop and update inspection and test plans for composite manufacturing, ensuring work instructions and quality checklists clearly define process criteria. Perform inspection and qualification of internally manufactured parts and assist in First Acceptance Tests for external supplier components. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Project Management teams to meet project objectives. Prepare comprehensive reports for third-party certification bodies such as DNV. Based in Viana do Castelo, this role requires a Master's degree in Engineering, two years of QA experience, and fluency in English.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, physical science or proven professional equivalent experience in quality assurance of large and complex composite structures
- At least 2 years of experience within quality assurance roles
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- In-depth understanding of testing, inspection methods, and common quality issues specific to composite parts and structures
- Familiarity with the thermal and mechanical testing of composite materials (e.g., DSC, tensile, compression, or shear testing)
- Proven ability to write clear technical documents for prototype qualification, including test protocols, test reports, and end-to-end product traceability documentation
