Job Summary
The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in assessing and improving quality systems at Voyant Beauty, ensuring products comply with internal specifications and customer requirements. Primary responsibilities include conducting root cause investigations, implementing process controls, and leading cross-functional initiatives aimed at minimizing defects and enhancing operational efficiency. The candidate will also provide training and mentoring on quality improvement techniques and maintain knowledge of GMP, GLP, and ISO frameworks. Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is essential for driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field or 5+ years in a Quality role.
- High proficiency in QMS principles (CAPA, change control, audit readiness).
- High proficiency in statistical and analytical methods (SPC, Minitab, Excel, etc.).
- High proficiency in Lean tools and methodologies.
- Medium proficiency in writing, reviewing, and interpreting specifications, SOPs, and validation documents.
- Medium proficiency in presenting data and trends to leadership.
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Continuous Improvement within manufacturing.
- 1-3 years familiarity with cGMPs, statistical process control (SPC), and quality system requirements (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
- CQE, Six Sigma, and/or Lean certification preferred.
- ISO and FDA audit experience.
