Job Summary
Lead investigations into quality concerns with cross-functional teams, validate containment, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified. Support the manufacturing floor by conducting audits, performing Measurement System Analysis, and developing error proofing to improve Quality Key Performance Indicators. Verify Advance Production Quality Planning activities, update documentation for customer approval, and participate in launch programs to validate standards. Analyze data to drive solutions with cross-functional teams and communicate directly with customers regarding warranty and audit concerns. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience, with a preference for engineering backgrounds and APQP certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical field
- 10+ years' experience
- Bachelor's in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in AIAG APQP processes
- Quality Certification (CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, CQA, etc.)
- Subject matter expert in Quality Tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC)
- Lead cross functional teams in problem solving
- Professional communication with internal and external customers
- Driven professional with a passion to improve systems and processes
- Strong working knowledge in PFMEA and Control Plans
- Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements
- Demonstrated success as a person who solves problems in a manufacturing operation
- Knowledge about Lean manufacturing methods
- Understanding of Quality Systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members
- High level computer skills to include Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel
- Sense of urgency and an overall customer satisfaction focus
- Candidates residing in California or Colorado are not eligible for remote positions
