Quality Engineer (VinFast Indonesia Plant)

Job Summary
Resolve supplier manufacturing issues by determining root causes and implementing timely quality resolutions through Supplier Corrective Action Reports. Manage supplier non-conformances by providing disposition, securing supplier concurrence, and driving corrective actions with a focus on containment across the value stream. Monitor supplier performance scorecards, execute supplier executive escalations, and provide technical assistance during launch, change-over, and ongoing production activities. Manage the Supplier Action Center for product disposition and SAP part number tracking. Contribute to new vehicle programs from supplier development phases through to post-SOP quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, Welding, Plastics, or Chemical)
- Minimum of three years experience in quality, engineering and/or manufacturing
- Proficient in print reading and interpretation
- Proficient in part measurement
- Proficient in gage design
- Proficient in gage function
- Fluent in English
- Experience with Supplier Quality Management
- Experience with Geometric design and tolerance (GD&T)
- Experience with Manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, tooling, equipment, and facilities
- Experience with Statistical quality control
- Experience applying basic statistics using Mini-tab
- Ability to investigate quality problems
- Ability to apply sound technical judgment to develop potential solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, Welding, Plastics, or Chemical) preferred
- Technical experience in interior, exterior, body, chassis, electrical or powertrain quality, manufacturing, or engineering functions
- Demonstrated experience and capability in Lean Manufacturing and or Manufacturing Quality
- Demonstrated experience and capability in Manufacturing, Process and or Tool Engineering
- Demonstrated experience and capability in Quality Systems Planning (APQP), including PPAP
- Demonstrated experience and capability in Statistical Problem Solving (8-D, SixSigma DMAIC Tool-set)
- Master's degree in Business or Engineering is a plus
