Job Summary
Direct activities focused on the application and maintenance of quality standards to ensure shipped products meet all customer requirements. Represent quality as a team member for daily shop floor meetings and act as the first line of customer service. Execute APQP tasks, create and maintain quality documents like PFMEA's and Control Plans in an audit-ready condition, and develop shop floor standards for part inspection. Review rejected material to rapidly develop interim containment actions and assist in product capability studies for new and current programs. Travel up to 15% to customer sites to identify concerns, troubleshoot, and support new product launches. Provide direction for hourly personnel and participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or related discipline
- at least 2 years of industry experience
- working within ISO 9001 standards
- Familiarity with IATF and PPAP standards
- Strong allegiance to good manufacturing practices and process discipline
- Strong familiarity with automotive requirements and expectations from a diverse blend of industrial customers
- Confident experience with SPC and the tools for rapid data analysis
- Ability to travel to customer sites to assist in new product launches and assist in troubleshooting
- Travel time can be up to 15% (mostly domestic) during product launches
- Confident experience with SPC and the tools for rapid data analysis
- Ability to review customer prints and understand GD&T basics
