Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Conduct laboratory testing and perform accurate calculations to determine necessary tools for testing setups. Assist with lab testing of manufactured or purchased products, prepare samples using saws, shear, bench grinders, and mill, and maintain organization of lab and storage for incoming parts. Prepare emails and reports to convey technical requirements and document results of lab testing while interpreting specification requirements from regulatory or industry standards. Participate in vendor auditing and communication to facilitate purchasing of quality products and assist the Purchasing department with vendor development regarding technical requirements and testing. Support the creation and organization of technical documents for manufactured or purchased products and assist in quality audits as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Relevant Discipline (Mechanical or Material Science Engineering)
  • Three-Five (3-5) Years Relevant Experience
  • Ability to understand drawings or models created with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, such as stamping, forging, machining, or casting
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and product design, function and application
  • Demonstrated technical acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed, confident technical decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective documentation, presentation, and report writing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational skills
  • Strong team collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and contribute effectively in group settings
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to adjust work schedules as needed, including up to 25% domestic and/or international travel
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, alternate between sitting, standing, using work platform with stairs
  • Good visual acuity and manual dexterity
