Job Summary
Conduct environmental and quality system audits to ensure compliance with specifications and documented procedures, including planning, scheduling, and documenting results. Research, develop, and revise Quality and Environmental Policies, Procedures, System Instructions, Engineering Standards, and Work Instructions governing the department. Provide training on statistical techniques for continuous improvement to maintain ISO certifications and establish standards to measure process performance. Coordinate corrective action systems for root cause analysis and respond to customer requests for quality information. Maintain detailed knowledge of Milwaukee Quality and Environmental Systems, ISO 14000, and 9000 series standards to support executive management reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication
- Self-motivated and able to work with basic direction
- Solid analytical and technical skills
- Willingness to work with hands
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the structure and workings of the Milwaukee Quality and Environmental Systems and certifying agency requirements
- Maintain a high level of expertise in the area of the ISO 14000 and 9000 series of standards and their interpretations
- Perform, process environmental and quality system audits to ensure compliance to specifications and documented procedures
- Perform the lead auditor responsibilities of planning, scheduling, conducting meetings and documenting results
- Provide training and advising to work areas on statistical techniques and tools for continuous improvement to help maintain ISO certifications in quality and environment systems
- Establish standards to measure process performance and improvement
- Provide expertise on the use of various specialties related to business such as process analysis, flowcharting and strategic planning
- Coordinate corrective action systems used throughout the company to ensure timely root cause analysis and effective corrective/preventive action
- Respond to customer requests for quality information
- Perform analysis on Quality and environmental systems for input to executive management review and as a basis for improvement
