Job Summary
Quality Engineer provides on-site QE guidance for the SHIELD SHORAD Increment 4 program, leading and participating in quality management activities including technical reviews, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and a range of verification and validation tasks. Responsibilities span supply chain management, production line validation, technical data package development, environmental stress screening, SOW input, requirements development, and testing activities such as first article testing and factory acceptance testing, along with nonconforming materiel management, continuous improvement techniques, and statistical process control. Candidates should have an engineering degree, mid-level aerospace/defense manufacturing experience, and familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 and DoD-style programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- An Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Mid-level Quality Engineering experience supporting aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or comparable quality systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
